DIPHENHYDRAMINE HYDROCHLORIDE, AMMONIUM CHLORIDE, SODIUM CITRATE & ETHANOL SYRUP

Benadryl® Cough Formula

DOSAGE:

Children (6-less than 12 yrs)

1 Teaspoonful (5.0 ml)

Adults and children 12 yrs and over

2 Teaspoonfuls (10 ml)

Do not use in children below 6 years of age. Dose to be taken every 4 hours.

Not to exceed 30 ml for 6-less than 12 yrs, 60 ml for Adults and children 12 yrs and over in 24 hours or as directed by Physician.

EACH 5 ml CONTAINS:

Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride I.P. 14.08 mg.

Ammonium Chloride I.P. 138 mg.

Sodium Citrate I.P. 57.03 mg

Ethanol (95%) I.P. 0.2625 ml

(Expressed as Ethanol I.P. 5.0% v/v)

Colour: Carmoisine, Sunset Yellow FCF,

SPECIAL WARNINGS & PRECAUTIONS:

Do not use with other products containing Diphenhydramine, alcohol, sedatives and tranquilizers. This medication may cause drowsiness in an occasional patient. Such patients should not drive vehicles or operate machinery for 4 to 6 hours after taking the last dose.
